Capturing three successive American League pennants between 1988 and 1990, the Oakland A's realized but one World Series championship, accomplishing the feat in 1989. The offered OAL Brown ball (graded “6” with light toning) is decorated with the signatures of (19) members of that title-winning team. Executed in black ballpoint, the autographs of skipper Tony LaRussa's players project between (“4”) and (“7”) strength with a few faded but legible, nonetheless. Includes: North Panel: Kusnyer (coach), Hubbard, Sinatro, Cadaret, Polonia, and Welch; South Panel: Canseco, D. Henderson, Weiss, Steinbach and Javier; West Panel: Stewart, Burns, Jose, and Eckersley; East Panel: Parker, McGwire, Phillips and Lansford. Note: the presence of Sinatro's signature likely dates the ball to spring training, as he was dealt to the Detroit Tigers four days into the season. Accompanying is an auction LOA from James Spence Authentications.
